McDonald’s believes in the African American culture!

During my browsing the web I found this site 365black.com. I knew that ethnic marketing had potential and that the marks were interested more and more, but it seems it across the Atlantic n ‘there is no longer taboo in this area. Indeed for many years, the United States identify individuals based on their race, and marks it as a good opportunity to reach consumers in their deepest belonging to a group. McDonald’s has recently created a website dedicated to the black community in the United States.
What challenged me most on this site is the text that explains what really 365black.com: “At McDonald’s ®, we believe that African-American culture and achievement should be celebrated 365 days a year – not just during Black History Month. That’s the idea behind 365Black.com. ”
That McDonald’s celebrates African American culture every day of the year and not just during Black History Month. A strong positioning for a brand like Mc Do which restores the wider population worldwide. Apart from these fine words, the site offers testimonials from people who have benefited from many opportunities offered by fast food chains.
I am curious to know the reaction, both more concerned to know the black community, but also that of pure American Texans. McDonald’s is not gone too far in the segmentation of the market?
