Rebuilding Haiti

After the rescue, to reconstruction. While the international community is organized to put Haiti on foot after the earthquake, several online initiatives attempt to bring them to the building.

Created by a communications agency site “youaidhaiti” calls users to upload their videos to share their messages of support to Haiti. Each video posted generate funds through sponsors of the site to help rebuild the country. Dozens of videos have been uploaded.

http://www.youaidhaiti.com/?p=255

http://www.youaidhaiti.com/?p=114

U.S. actor Ben Stiller has launched its website Stillerstrong. Objective: to build temporary schools to help Haitian children return to school as soon as possible. And to encourage calls for donations, Ben Stiller reveals many personalities in videos made for the occasion. Robert DeNiro and Bill Clinton have played the game

“Well, and if you began to build schools? ”

A project that was done in partnership with the NGO specialized architecture for humanity in the search for architectural solutions to crises. It is also contributing its collaborative tool openarchitecture network, which allows to share designs, ideas, projects to develop plans for long-term reconstruction.

Meanwhile on sharing sites many users post their suggestions. The Canadian and proposes that his country has among the various aids, timber, less polluting than cement.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZEkFvnbedI

100th anniversary of the flood of the Seine

On January 28, 1910 marked the end of the great flood of the Seine which was partially flooded Paris. 100 years later, the blogosphere remembers this unique situation and questions whether such a disaster happening again.

So many sites like these photos back in on the damage caused by rising waters in the French capital. Snapshots to better understand the combined experience of Parisians at the time.
http://inondation1910.paris.fr/ http://www.linternaute.com/paris/magazine/dossier/06/crue-de-la-seine/1 ….

The portal created by the government offers him the satellite maps to see the extent of the flood of 1910 but also neighborhoods that are potentially affected in Paris and its region if a flood was forthcoming. A flood that would have consequences now much more important a hundred years ago, partly due to the explosion of urbanization.
http://www.geoportail.fr/5061756/actu/6016811/Crue Seine e. ..
http://www.geoportail.fr/visu2D.do?cg=djoxLjEqYzptZXRyb3BvbGUqY3Y6MS4wKn …

An alarming information confirmed by the expert who says here that if Paris was to be the victim of a flood as exceptional, the city will take several months or even years before they put up its infrastructure.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb6vWtDhbvI

Despite these doomsday predictions, some have decided to take the event of another flood with humor. The creator of this montage and imagines a Paris transformed, people moving in sailing and mingle with dolphins.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Utk3Qi5bRUU

And this was fun vlogs it, test different types of rafts built by hand to avoid getting stuck at home in case of major flooding.

Since January 13, Google refuses to cooperate with Chinese censors. Result: the American search engine could be forced to leave China, failing to persuade the Beijing government to run its Chinese site google.cn without the filter of censorship. Google advanced including massive cyber cons of gmail accounts cyberdissidents. Today they are showing their outrage.

Last November, Ai Weiwei, a famous artist and dissident, had a nasty surprise by opening his mail. All messages have been transferred to an unknown address. Since he is campaigning for the rights of families of earthquake victims in Sichuan, the designer of the Olympic Stadium in Beijing is often harassed by the authorities. But mostly he keeps the action from Google, which has warned its users against piracy of their gmail box. “Of course this will affect my business. But most important is that Google has reminded surfers their rights, they must protect and defend freedom conveyed by this right to privacy on the Internet … ”

Today, some bloggers activists organize to fight against piracy. Like Zhou Shuguang, another star of the Chinese blogosphere. It provides training in Internet use and protection of personal data. “As I do not use the same password for all my accounts, either in Gmail or on social networks already do I prevent the government to hack my mailbox,” said blogger. I am also very careful not to use unsecured computers when I open my account. And especially, I change every two or three months my password on gmail … ”

In justifying its refusal to censorship by Chinese piracy gmail, Google has managed a nice shot … Everyone speaks as defender of a free Internet, unlike its rival Yahoo, accused of having allowed the arrest of cyber-dissidents.

Toyota’s first official to speak since the recall of some 4.5 million cars off the mark Nippon, vice president Shinichi Sasaki reiterated the group’s apology for the inconvenience caused to its customers.

AFP – Japanese auto giant Toyota, which had to recall millions of cars worldwide due to faulty accelerator pedal, denied Tuesday that he sacrificed the legendary quality of its products to more quickly become number one worldwide.

During a press conference, the first by a top official of Toyota in Japan since the outbreak of the crisis, the vice-president Shinichi Sasaki reiterated the apology on the group against motorists affected.

“Owners of recalled vehicles and to all our customers worldwide, we offer our sincere apologies for the trouble caused,” said Sasaki at Toyota headquarters in Nagoya, central Japan.

He however failed to bow before the cameras, as do employers typically Japanese to express their contrition.

The vice-president of Toyota has refuted criticism that the manufacturer, went number one worldwide in 2008, would have sacrificed the legendary quality of its cars to more quickly this consecration.

“I do not think the expansion of overseas production has affected the quality in any way whatsoever,” he said.

He acknowledged that the delay between the announcement of the recall, last week, and the first steps taken to correct the defect, Monday night was long. “In this case, we considered a priority issue a warning, even at the risk of confusion,” said Sasaki.

“Ideally, we would have liked to provide an explanation sooner. I apologize on behalf of the management for the delay,” he said.

Toyota recalled last week nearly 4.5 million vehicles in North America, Europe and China due to an accelerator pedal which, when improperly designed, may remain stuck in the down position. Production and sales of eight models affected by this defect have been suspended in North America, an unprecedented step.

After a night of negotiations on the conditions of termination, employees working in stores for liquidation of Pier Import released the CEO and general manager of the company since they were heard Monday night.

Reuters – Some employees of Pier Import included two leaders of the group on the night of Monday to Tuesday at company headquarters near Paris, to obtain better conditions of dismissal, have announced their representatives.

They were released Tuesday morning the CEO Sonia Ben Behe and CEO Gerard Démaret their offices Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis) after a general meeting where the employees have decided to continue the fight in other forms.

The group of furniture and decoration was placed into receivership last September, leading the fermteture 25 stores and 140 dismissals.

“We are awaiting a meeting with the shareholder. The stores will continue action and a strike was decided until Wednesday night at least,” he said on i> Télé Yann Drink, committee secretary Corporate Pier Import.

“For now the benefits that are proposed under the social plan are always at least, that is to say (…) one months salary for an employee who has five years
seniority, “Has he said.

The employees demanded a half month’s salary per year of seniority.

If they do not get satisfaction by Wednesday evening, “actions may become radicalized,” he warned Yann Drink.

The action of employees has been terminated by the Minister of Industry, Christian Estrosi, who “can not be any real negotiations when there is violence.”

With the crisis, the kidnappings of business executives have increased in France.

In January, four executives of a company from Swedish metal band Akers, Fraisse (Loire), were selected over 24 hours by employees who have finally succeeded on their benefits
redundancy and redeployment.

Christian Estrosi Tuesday advocated solutions “on a case by case” for employees.

No more world of Mr. Potato Head and the Care Bears when everyone love each other, where everyone is kind and thinks of his neighbor. Nan, in life, there’s not as nice, of Noah and Chabal (dixit other classifications). There’s also all others who make us change channels when they are seen and / or we are talking to himself, shouting “it is where it is con me? . Good afternoon it might be me eh …

# Eric Besson, the principle of one who changed sides during the battle, is to make it a little closer, even too much, to be accepted by his new friends. With Eric, beautiful like a heart, confirms the rule is wickedly. Finally it is the Afghans who say.

# Raymond Domenech: good I liked him at first with his thick eyebrows and communication say “innovative”. But when it becomes systematic, it’s tiring. Especially when we play like feet and with two midfielders against the Faroe Islands. From there to whistle all the time …

# Jean Pierre Pernaut: my favorite, that we walk all over France every lunchtime with a smile for us recount the good old France full of small shoemakers who make shoes balsa at Tendors-not-sur-Yvette. From coconut info.

# The guy that invented the station: Finally especially one who has invented its rates. Paris-Tours in the price of a round trip + hotel in Rome or Moscow in full board-cloth-supplied, it is a chouille too.

# Jean Marie Le Pen still in the rankings, a sure bet. Y appear until his last breath, Marechal Kelolo faith.

# Frederic Lefebvre: the Senegalese marksman of the UMP, so who is the front line to shoot anything that moves. And he did. No matter how it does. A kind of masculine Nadine Morano. A star is born.

# Eric Zemour: the villain on TV, it might be funny. Except that those who generally think women are always too something that the left is not trick enough and that the book is too machine, force it fatigue.

# Nicolas Sarkozy 1st: of course it still has more than 38% of French people who support him, but the gentleman did not leave indifferent. We love or hate. Good news, we like less and less. As he could tell himself “the little white man is not enough back in history.”

# PSG: a staggering budget for results at the top a great popularity coast, there is … Here is Paris.

# Brice Hortefeux: for whom is primarily native Auvergne. It seems however that it is nice. I tell myself sometimes when we hear “it appears” that it has no idea right? Because here it’s hard to believe …

# Michel Drucker: What? Michael? Not Michael! If Si Because only want to be nice to everyone, it becomes sometimes a little dripping. Offer a dog Chirac and invite Arthur, Michel … Roll on Monday.

Yes, y’en a 11 and then? And you, who you hate most?

2009 closes slowly but surely. It’s time for fake “good year! “On TV running full afternoon before 15d. It is also a time for resolutions to the con that we will do more after January 15, although one juror otherwise. And it’s also time to say it looks forward to 2010. And there was even 10 good reasons why …

1. To forget 2009 and Michael Jackson that never ceases to die, but not really: once and for all MJ, RIP. Shavings thereby.

2. To see (and understand?) Last season of Lost: it will finally give a damn what the polar bear on a tropical island if Jacob is half-brother hidden in Regina.

3. To marvel at the forthcoming World Cup football in June: the first in Africa, France wins, Thierry Henry scored the winning goal in the ass, and everyone wears a t-shirt “I love Domenech.

4. To see the remake Johnny Hallyday Stade de France: it’s not that he wants to, but was so afraid to take full teeth for months if we were to make a Michael …

5. To hear well lourdeau “2009, year of the chick” especially since it was fairly true. And smoothly migrate to “2010, a year Peace”. How is it worse?

6. To see Jean Sarkozy to head the UMP, democratically-si-si, and announcing a Lip Dub of Aznavour “I already saw” Together, everything becomes possible.

7. To discover the already famous new Apple tablet that will change the world: yes, yes, Steve Jobs said when you see … That should connect you to the Internet from everywhere, to feed the entire planet, and stop the tsunami. Powerful what.

8. To revel in a year full of promises cinema: one month of January with a new Clint Eastwood and a new Cohen Brothers can be a great year. Although there is also the debut of the cinema Lagaffe. Too bad, it was going well.

9. Quitting smoking at last for the 6th time in 6 years.

10. To see the new version of Topito and say “my God, what a really great site, if only I had the idea to create such, my life would be successful” it just so.

And for you, what are your reasons to spend in 2010?
